Welcome to the North Carolina Local Users Group
Welcome to the North Carolina Local Users Group (NCLUG) website. The NCLUG hopes to bring together the many varied users of Bentley CADD products though out the Carolinas. If you are a user of MicroStation, GEOPAK, InRoads, AECOsim, PowerCivil or any of the other Bentley products please join the NCLUG and share your expertise and experience with your fellow Carolina users.
The “Be a Game Changer Challenge” is a think tank activity to get users to take an active role in making changes to our industry and how we complete our daily work. A part of NCLUG’s mission is to influence the direction of MicroStation and related products and services. This is an opportunity for users and firms to discuss issues and present new ideas or processes with other participants of the conference with the intent of making big changes in the industry.
Users are asked to come to the conference armed with an idea or challenge specific to their everyday tasks. Some examples may be: How can we better train our staff? Can we modify the drainage structure number cells to be smaller to allow for more space on the plan sheet? Can we develop guidelines/checklists for consultants checking consultant plans under GESC contracts?
NCLUG will provide “My Game Changing Idea” slips to users at the conference and online. Submit a completed slip that outlines your ideas and concepts at the conference to receive a prize (one per person).
The Game Changing ideas received will be presented to the group during the NCLUG Conference Roundtable on Thursday, August 2, for an open discussion and comments. Entries will remain anonymous. NCLUG will also share these ideas on the website for further input and suggestions, following the conference.
If you cannot make the conference, but would like to submit an idea for discussion, please send a message to email@example.com.
