Welcome to the North Carolina Local Users Group (NCLUG) website.  The NCLUG hopes to bring together the many varied users of Bentley CADD products though out the Carolinas.  If you are a user of MicroStation, GEOPAK, InRoads, AECOsim, PowerCivil or any of the other Bentley products please join the NCLUG and share your expertise and experience with your fellow Carolina users.

2018 Winter Conference   December 5, 2018  
We hope everyone had a great time and learned a lot at the NCLUG 2018 Winter Conference.  NCLUG would like to give a special shout out to all the volunteers and presenters who helped make this year’s conference a success. It would not have been possible without their help.  As part of our conference wrap up here are some follow up items:

Award Winners: Congratulations to our 2018 NCLUG “CADDy” Award Winners

  • Lifetime Achievement Award – Dean Noland with NCDOT
NCLUG is proud to award Dean Noland as our 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award for his vital contribution to the industry with a distinguished career. Dean is a dedicated public servant with a passion for helping others with high integrity. 
  • Mentor of the Year – Brandon Johnson with Summit Design & Engineering Services
NCLUG is thrilled to award Brandon Johnson as our 2018 Mentor of the Year for fostered relationship, encouraged staff, and provided all the right tools, confidence, and support for his employees to succeed.
  • Rookie of the Year – Bryce Reid with Atkins
NCLUG is pleased to award Bryce Reid as our 2018 Rookie of the Year for embrace new technology and showing great promise as a future leader who is creating a positive impact on the industry.
 
 
PDH Credits: For those who needed pdh credits, attached are receipts for each day and a one-page agenda for your own record.  Also, note you need to complete the NCBEL Evaluation (attached) form as part of your credits and email completed forms to: events@nclug.com.

Picture“Best Team Work” – NCLUG Award went to: Carroll Magnet Middle School – “Aquathos”
​The 2018 DiscoverE North Carolina Future City Regional Finals took place in  January   at the McKimmon Center at NC State University in Raleigh, NC.  A special thanks to NCLUG for sponsoring the 2018 Future City Competition.  Spite a few teams not making it to competition, everything went off without a hitch.  The 4 finalist were: 
  • 4th – The Epiphany School of Global Studies – “Offenbarung”
  • 3rd – JM Alexander – “Nairobi”
  • 2nd – Langtree Charter Academy – Swaziland Langtree 7th”
  • 1st – Hanges Magnet – “Pyongyang”
