Thanks to everyone who came out and made our first annual users conference a resonding success.  I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.   Hopefully not only did you learn a few new things about MicroStaton and GEOPAK  but you made a few new friends among your fellow MicroStation users.  With over a 100 active users in attendence there was a lot of information being exchanged and discussed which is what the users group is all about.

As soon as we get the conference presentations they will be posted to website along with a few pictures, and information about our next meeting.  Again let me thank all of you who attended, helped and presented.  With out your support and particapation the NCLUG couldn't have put on such a successful conference.

Finally while there were a lot of people involved in putting this conference together two indivduals deserve a special thank you for all the hard work, time and effort they put into coordinating the conference -- Thank you Paddy Jordan and Jim Austin.  Hope everyone has a happy and joyous holiday season.

The NCLUG is extremely excited to announce that we are holding our first day long conference on December 6, 2011.  Planning is well underway the venue has been reserved,  the agenda has been set, the speakers lined up. 

Now all we need is your support by signing up and attending what we hope will be the first of many annual NCLUG Conferences.  Check out the Meetings tab for specific information.  Registration for the conference will begin on or about November 4th.  The Conference will be a hands on, dual track event so we are limiting the attendance to the first 120 NCLUG  members that register. Hope this letter finds you doing well and trust that you had a great holiday season and enjoyable New Year!

As the Chairman of the North Carolina Local Users Group (NCLUG), I wanted to take the time and thank you for joining NCLUG and your continued support of the group and its endeavors. When we started NCLUG, the founding members hoped that NCLUG could become a valuable resource for the many Bentley product users in North Carolina. We also wanted to provide an avenue for fellow users to network and communicate with each other about the Bentley suite of products that is offered. I think we have more than succeeded in doing that and now we feel it is time to take NCLUG to the next level.

This past Fall NCLUG reached its ONE year anniversary and in doing so has now become an officially sanctioned Bentley User Group. What that means is NCLUG now has the backing and support of theBentley flagship. NCLUG has the capability of tapping into the many Bentley benefits and programs. As a member you should see more opportunities to increase your knowledge and improve your skills as a user. In addition to those opportunities, NCLUG will be providing a wider variety of training sessions with hands on training as well as general informational sessions that will benefit you as a member in your professional career. These topics will be based on feedback that we are receiving from members.NCLUG is also exploring the possibility of expanding the group by starting local subchapters in other parts of the state.

With this future growth and ambitious plans in the works, NCLUG welcomes and encourages you to join us as a volunteer, serve on a committee or become a board member. If any of this peaks your interest or you just want to find out more information about the opportunities that NCLUG offers, please contact us at nclug@membership.com . The North Carolina Local Users Group is now an officially sanctioned Bentley Users Group. 
We are officially ONE Year old and looking forward to many more years of providing quality information on how to use Bentley's suite of CADD products.  Our next meeting is October 19, 2010 at from 11:30 to 2:00 pm in Stantec's conference room located ath 801 Jones Franklin Road, suite 300 Raleigh, NC.  So visit our meetings page and register to attend.  We guarantee an enjoyable, informative meeting.

August Meeting 08/09/2010
 
So far we have 44 people signed up to attend our next meeting on August 11, 2010.  Should be be good meeting. Hope everyone will come out and learn or remember a few tips and hints on using MicroStation and how to take advantage of it's much improved print and plotting.  Hope to see you there ----Ra

The NCLUG has been in business for about six months but we are now starting our second decade serving the Bentley users of North Carolina.  So what is in store for 2010?  More meetings for one thing.  The next meeting will be in March (keep checking back for exact time and date) and will look at what is new in GEOPAK V8i.  It looks like we will have three speakers and the meeting is being expanded from a hour to two hours so there will be plenty of time for the speakers and for your questions.  So we hope forward to see you in March.  Oh and by the way HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Quick note to thanks to everyone that came out to our first Local Users Group meeting today.  The turn out was impressive and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves.  It looks like the NCLUG is off to a great start.  If you have any suggestions or would like to be more involved with the NCLUG  just let any of the board members know.  Our next meeting will be in mid February so I look forward to seeing everyone there.  Keep checking  the website for more details.  Until then hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.

The North Carolina Local Users Group now has a FACEBOOK group.  To check it out just click on the find us on facebook image above.  If you are a FACEBOOK member then please join our group.  If you aren't on FACEBOOK then JOIN.  It is an easy and effective way to network with not only your peers, but also friends and family.  I just saw that there are over a billion members so you are bound to know someone.

NCLUG Update 10/13/2009
 
Things are moving right along.  Our first general NCLUG meeting is set for November 19, 2009.  It will be held Raleigh and the Meeting topic will be "What's New with MicroStation XM/V8i"  More details will be posted soon.  What we need you to do is download and fill out the membership application and send it in (membership is free),  If we don't know who you are we can't keep you informed about what is happening with the NCLUG.  So take a few minutes to fill out the membership application and send it in - I think you will be glad you did.
